We’re a local, family-run company serving Bonners Ferry, Sandpoint, and the surrounding area. We specialize in plumbing, heating, and full boiler service for North Idaho homes. Our goal is simple: work that’s done right, clear communication, and service that leaves you confident in the system you rely on.
Where our story began
I, Brad, started plumbing at 18. I wasn’t looking for a lifelong career at the time; I just needed steady work, took an opportunity, and found myself drawn to the challenge of the trade.
In the early years, I learned how good plumbing work can make a home safer, efficient, and more reliable. That appealed to me.
My experience broadened in Canada, where plumbers are trained extensively in boiler installation and repair. I learned to diagnose problems fast, avoid shortcuts, and build systems that last. The detailed work of boilers became something I enjoyed, not something I avoided. Those years in particular shaped much of the skill I bring to North Idaho and today our son apprentices alongside me, learning this same trade.
How we work
When you call, we listen. Plumbing and heating issues are stressful, and clear communication matters. We walk you through what we find, explain the repair in plain language, and keep you updated as we work. You won’t be left wondering what’s happening or why.
Quality shapes every decision we make. We choose materials that hold up. We avoid temporary fixes. We take the time to make the system function and look correct, even in the areas that will never be seen again. We clean as we go, protect your home, and leave the space better than we found it.
Most of our work happens in homes where something wasn’t installed correctly the first time or where well-meaning DIY attempts shifted things off track. Our approach is to get to the root of the problem and make sure the repair is solid.
Why we do what we do
You matter to us. When our family relocated to North Idaho, we experienced firsthand the strength of this community. People helped us settle in, supported us through trying times, and welcomed us. Millikan Plumbing & Boilersgrew out of that community kindness.

This work has supported our family for almost two decades, and we take pride in serving the place we call home. We want each repair or installation to reflect the values that built this business: honesty, respect, skill, patience, and doing the right thing even when no one will see it behind the walls.
